This survey of Vineyard Anaheim participants was part of a large research grant from the Lilly Endowment to study rapidly growing non-mainline churches. Vineyard Anaheim (Anaheim, California) was one of four non-mainline churches surveyed.

- Surveys were distributed on four consecutive Sunday services in 1992. Although Vineyard Anaheim did not have a membership list, the principal investigators estimate (see Perrin, Kennedy and Miller, 1997) that between 50% and 60% of those regularly attending the church completed the survey.
