- Surveys were distributed on four consecutive Sunday services in 1992. Although Hope Chapel Hermosa Beach did not have a membership list, the principal investigators estimate (see Perrin, Kennedy and Miller, 1997) that between 50% and 60% of those regularly attending the church completed the survey.
