Denominational Profile
The ancient Christian church in Armenia has two branches. The Armenian Apostolic Church of America, centered on the diaspora community in Lebanon, was founded in 1930, after the installation of a Communist government in Armenia. The Church is under the jurisdiction of Catholicos of Cicilia (Lebanon), His Holiness Karekin II.
