Basic Information
The Church of the Gospel was formed in 1911 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts, by the Rev. and Mrs. C. T. Spike and members of the Advent Christian Church. In 1912 the groups incorporated as the Church of God but adopted its present name in 1930 to avoid confusion with other groups.
