Youth for Christ (YFC) emerged in the 1940s with the goal of meeting the religious needs of the country’s youth better, the soldiers in particular. This evangelical religious campaign held multiple rallies that blended Christian worship, entertainment, and patriotism. These events reached millions of young people both domestically and internationally. It also propelled a young Illinois pastor by the name of Billy Graham into the spotlight as the YFC’s national field representative.
