International Fellowship of Christian Assemblies (1927 - Present) - Religious Group
Religious Family: PentecostalReligious Tradition: Evangelical Protestant
Description: The International Fellowship of Christian assemblies began in 1927 as a fellowship between Italian-speaking Pentecostals. The group formed in Niagara Falls, New York, and was originally convened as the General Council of the International Fellowship of Christian Assemblies. The group credits its development to Pentecostal awakenings that happened among Italian Christians in Chicago about 20 years earlier. The group is Pentecostal in affiliation, though denounces some of the excesses associated with other churches within the tradition. They consider themselves "Full Gospel," meaning that they embrace every doctrine in the New Testament.
