Religious Family: Presbyterian/ReformedReligious Tradition: Evangelical Protestant
Description: The United Reformed Churches in North America was founded officially in 1996 by former members of the Christian Reformed Church (CRC) who were unhappy with the latter’s developing positions on scripture, Arminianism, women in ministry, and evolution. Congregations previously unassociated with the CRC joined the United Reformed Churches in North America. This conservative association has eight classes, and the synod meets at least once every three years.
